SUMMARY:(FREE) Simplified Harvest and Media Exchange in Cell Therapy: Consistent\, Compliant Scale-Up from Development to GMP
DESCRIPTION:Developing robust cell harvest and media exchange processes is often complex\, particularly when moving from development to GMP manufacturing. Differences in equipment\, scale\, and automation can introduce variability and delay clinical timelines. Common methods such as TFF face challenges in maintaining consistent parameters during scale-up\, while disc-stack centrifugation lacks scale-down models and can expose cells to high shear\, reducing viability and product quality. Manual approaches\, though gentler\, increase variability and labor demands as processes scale. These issues complicate tech transfer\, process validation\, and regulatory alignment. \nThis webinar presents case studies demonstrating how a low-shear\, single-use centrifuge supports efficient harvest and media exchange for diverse cell types\, including iPSC aggregates and MSCs\, while preserving critical quality attributes (CQAs). The approach enables consistent process parameters and predictable performance from development through commercial manufacturing. By reducing engineering complexity and simplifying scale-up\, this technology helps shorten time-to-clinic.

SUMMARY:Embedding AI and Critical IRB Operations Data to Drive Intelligent Study Design
DESCRIPTION:Study design is increasingly empowered by a rich and diverse array of data. New sources continue to emerge\, fueled by advances in AI that enable the integration of information from literature\, ClinicalTrials.gov\, digitized protocols\, and beyond. Harnessing these complementary data streams allows researchers to design studies that are not only operationally efficient but also more inclusive\, informed\, and scientifically sound. \nIn this webinar\, IDC analyst Dr. Nimita Limaye\, Research VP\, Life Sciences R&D\, Strategy and Technology\, joins Advarra’s Managing Director Ian Bailey for a dynamic discussion on how the industry can critically evaluate and integrate these data streams into their study design decisions. They will also investigate critical use cases\, analytical models\, and AI techniques that can transform these inputs into meaningful insights to optimize study design and maximize operational potential for pharma leaders.

SUMMARY:Bridging Discovery and CMC with Rapid Pools
DESCRIPTION:The rapid growth of complex antibody modalities—including bispecifics\, multispecifics\, Fc-fusions\, and emerging formats—has widened the gap between discovery-stage expression systems and manufacturability. Transient expression\, still widely used for screening and optimization\, often fails to reveal architecture-driven liabilities such as chain imbalance\, mispairing\, instability\, aggregation\, or poor effective yield. As a result\, promising molecular formats may be prematurely deprioritized based on incomplete expression data\, or advanced with hidden risks that surface only during cell line development and CMC. \nAsimov’s Rapid Pools platform addresses this challenge by enabling high-throughput generation of stable CHO expression pools using a new high-efficiency transposase\, CHO-K1 GS host\, and model-guided vector design. By providing early\, CLD-relevant expression and assembly data\, RapidPools allow protein engineers to directly evaluate the manufacturability of complex architectures during the design phase. This enables informed sequence\, vector\, and chain-balancing optimizations that can derisk differentiated formats that might otherwise be dropped\, while more accurately identifying designs unlikely to scale. \nAttendees will learn how integrating stable expression readouts into protein engineering workflows improves predictability\, reduces late-stage risk\, and expands the viable design space for next-generation antibody therapeutics.

SUMMARY:Four Common Pitfalls to Avoid in UF/DF Setup and Scale-Up
DESCRIPTION:Ultrafiltration/Diafiltration (UF/DF) processes that look robust at the development scale often expose critical weaknesses during scale-up or tech transfer—resulting in capacity constraints\, excessive manual intervention\, delayed timelines\, or manufacturing risk. In many cases\, these issues trace back to early UF/DF decisions that seemed reasonable at the time but didn’t fully account for scalability\, system design\, or cross-functional alignment. \nIn this webinar\, we’ll break down four of the most common—and costly—pitfalls in UF/DF setup and scale-up\, including poor filter sizing and membrane selection\, overreliance on manual operations\, system design limitations\, and breakdowns in communication between Process Development and MSAT teams. Through practical examples drawn from downstream workflows\, we’ll show how these pitfalls emerge\, why they persist\, and how they impact process robustness and manufacturing success. \nAttendees will leave with practical strategies to design more scalable UF/DF processes\, reduce manual burden\, improve system selection\, and strengthen PD–MSAT collaboration—helping teams avoid late-stage surprises and enabling smoother tech transfer to manufacturing. \n ~ Avoid scale-up surprises with membrane selection strategies that are fit-for-purpose\n ~Reduce manual burden and operational risk by understanding when automation and system design choices matter most for robust\, scalable UF/DF operations\n ~Enable smoother tech transfer by improving alignment and communication between Process Development and MSAT teams early in process design
