Advancing small molecule program from Hit to Candidate- Small molecule inhibitors of NMMT for treatment of metabolic disorders

Case Study: The project was started with the aim to identify lead series and lead compounds for the inhibition of NNMT to treat metabolic disorders. The project team faced numerous challenges such as a moderate ADME profile of the starting compounds, establishing biochemical assays for the target and several selectivity assays, establishing target engagement and efficacy models and such.
