2026 Women’s Health Symposium

October 1 @ 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

Pancreatic cancer remains one of the most lethal and least understood cancers, with a five-year survival rate below 15% and few effective tools for early detection. For women, distinct biological factors, underrepresentation in clinical research, and disparities in care access create unique barriers to timely diagnosis and effective treatment. The result is an already devastating disease that is even harder to fight.

This program will explore the urgent need for innovation — from improving early detection to accelerating the development of more effective therapies. Researchers, clinicians, and patient advocates will examine the latest scientific advances, the specific ways this disease affects women, and the policy and advocacy levers that can drive meaningful change.

Join MassBio and the Caucus of Women Legislators for a conversation that turns visibility into action and makes the case for greater urgency, investment, and collaboration in women’s cancer care.

We’re excited to open this event up this year to all MassBio members.
