The Biocom California Cell & Gene Therapy Committee brings together members working in the cell therapy and gene therapy space to share ideas and best practices, and gain common understanding of this important therapeutic field to drive innovation and manufacturing approaches forward.

Cell therapy, such as regenerative therapies based on iPSCs and adoptive cell therapies targeting cancer with CAR-T cells, CAR-NKs or TCRs, holds enormous potential for treating devastating diseases. However, the field is still in its infancy, and CMC remains a critical bottleneck in bringing these therapies to patients on a global scale.

This panel discussion will cover:

  • What are the critical challenges in development and manufacturing of cell therapies today?
  • How can we as an industry overcome those challenges?
  • Approaches to manufacture autologous, allogeneic and “next generation” autologous therapies
  • The future of cell therapy manufacturing
