Inspiring Healthy Innovations through Small Business Funding

December 17, 2020 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm

Join the National Institutes of Health’s National Institute on Aging (NIA) Office of Small Business Research (OSBR), Delaware BioScience Association (Delaware BIO), and New Jersey Biotech (BioNJ) on Thursday, December 17 at 12:30 p.m. ET for a webinar on small business funding opportunities to advance your research to commercialization. Saroj Regmi, Ph.D., OSBR senior program analyst, will provide an overview of the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs, guidance on drafting a competitive application, and additional resources for advancing your research.

Through the SBIR and STTR programs, NIA OSBR provides more than $100 million annually in set-aside, non-dilutive funding, and resources to support small businesses looking to commercialize technologies. The small business programs support eligible companies and entrepreneurs creating innovative therapeutics, devices, and diagnostics that address aging, aging-related diseases, and the special needs of older Americans.

We invite entrepreneurial researchers, small businesses, and research organizations to learn how to tap into NIA’s SBIR/STTR programs, which can help accelerate research on innovations in Alzheimer’s disease (AD), AD-related dementias, and other diseases of aging.
