Free Virtual Conference – Precision Health

April 13, 2021 @ 8:55 am - 3:20 pm

FREE

Precision medicine has created the opportunity to improve overall public health by identifying and treating specific unmet needs of populations within a broad community. Examples of populations in this context may include those with chronic conditions (e.g., osteoporosis in the elderly or nutrition in low-income groups) or those with cancers due to environmental exposure. Precision health uses techniques ranging from standard methods (e.g., surveys) to evaluating targeted therapies (e.g., dexamethasone for severe and critical COVID-19 patients) to identify responder populations; these techniques have benefited enormously from advanced clinical assays and gene-based methods for diagnosis in community settings. As a specific example, public monitoring rapidly identified the elderly as being particularly susceptible during the pandemic, thereby triggering protocols for more strict protocols in care centers. We anticipate that expanding these population methods more generally will result in overall improvement in the general public.

We welcome clinicians, public and population health scientists, and regulators, to register for this conference to hear from experienced leaders in academia, biotech, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, clinical research, healthcare and regulatory agencies.
